First ever meeting between the South Gallia and Gallia Academy. Should be a nice crowd for this one. Go Rebels!

Gameday!!! I'm surprised that this game isn't getting more chatter than what it is!!! Ol Blue feeling a little under the weather so if someone could post scores I'd appreciate it!!! Should be a very competitive game!!! I'm glad that they didn't play this game 3or 4 years ago...SG was loaded!!! I think they won 19 or 20 games that year!!!

South Gallia hit a three-pointer with 0.3 seconds left in overtime to post a 48-46 triumph. It was the Rebels season opener. GAHS dropped to 0-2 on the year.

Gallipolis had taken a 46-45 lead with 9.7 left, but the Rebels rushed down the floor for the game-winning shot.

The Rebels led 12-9 after one period and 25-23 at halftime.

GAHS rallied for a 34-29 lead after three periods, but SGHS held the Blue Angels to three points in the final period to force the overtime.

Gallipolis had a bad night at the foul line, sinking something like eight of 20 freebies.

The Blue Angels next game is Thursdzy, Dec. 1, at home against River Valley.

In Tuesday's reserve game, GAHS won 40-19.

It was a very sloppy game for both teams. It was nice playing another county school! Not used to a short drive. Good luck Blue Angels on the rest of your season!

Blue Angels keep working hard and things will get better!!! Dont know if this shows how far SG has came in the past few years or how far GAHS has slipped!!! Ten years ago this game wouldnt have even been considered!!!!

Tough loss....Jackson had 3 of those buzzer-beating losses last year. Awful feeling

BBallin fool, youre right!!!! With James in the middle and Jackie raining 3's it wouldnt have been much of a game!!! But Ive watched both these teams a lot in the past 5 yrs and that may have been the last time that I thought that GA would have won this game!!!!!! I wish nothing but the best for both teams but we both know what the problem is at GAHS!!!

Gallia is playing without any posts. They only have one
and she is out for a while from knee surgery. Hopefully
they can find their way to a respectable season. Hang
in there Angels!!

Yes hopefully the Angels get players back that theyre missing and get things going!!!! Looking as tho we're starting to play some younger kids and hopefully build for the future!!! But please dont start making excuses (like another local school) and go out and play hard... No disrespect to SG...they have a good program and a good team but GAHS should never lose to them!!!! I think that GAHS has 3 or 4 times the number of girls that SG has!!!

Not giving any excuses. GA lost. Didn't play well.
Not an excuse. Just facts. However, just because a
school has more girls, doesn't mean they play ball.
GA has to find a way to get more girls playing. Build for the
future. But I'm not going to ignore the seniors
who have been playing. Unfortunately, this group
was very good thru their jv year. Then they didn't develop
any further. This group plays hard every time out. Just can't seem
to put it all together. It's like something is missing. No real strong
shooters, etc.

Smrtmom... I guess that we'll have to agree to disagree!! If the number of girls in the school doesn't make any difference....then why does the state try to keep a competitive balance and divide the schools into different divisions??? I'm not 100 percent sure but I think that GAHS is still a Div2 (second biggest division) and SG is Div4 ( the smallest division)!!!! So I still say that the Angels should NEVER lose to SG or any div4 school!!! We both need to support GAHS and all the great young men and women there!!! Keep working Angels and good luck!!!
