Jackson @ Marietta.....12/29

Huge game for both teams. Both teams have just 1 loss and each lost to Logan.

Jackson will make the 90+ mile trek to the first city......hopefully return with a big win.

These two teams match up real well. Both play aggessive in your face defense. How the game is called will be paramount IMO. Good luck to both teams.

Last game Jackson had a size advantage and both players with unmatched size/length were in pretty significant foul trouble much of the game....some other players stepped up......a couple in the starting rotation and 1 off the bench.

So if they play the same style, how the game is called will be in favor of who? If they call it tight, which team do you think has the advantage in FT shooting, and which one in bench depth?

I would think that the team that can adjust their game to how it is being called will be at the advantage. Some teams have one mode and just play that way. The home team should have the advantage in actual foul shots taken IMO. This does not mean they will have the advantage in fouls called. I think the Jackson bench is deeper than Marietta.

Jackson's bench has been pretty solid and the free throw shooting is definately practiced more than most.....but of late the free throws have not been as good as they were early on...or at least it seems.

JV score

Marietta 53-51

Jackson's 1st loss....held a 28-19 lead at the half

Jackson's top JV player only played 1 qtr as she has emerged in the rotation on varsity.

Congrats to Marietta

1st qtr Jackson 15-9

Half 30-27......Jackson struggled at the line a bit and with ball handling towards the end of the half.

8-1 run by the Tigers in a big time of the 4th qtr....hopefully Jackson can make some plays at the most crucial time.
