2/7 - Ironton Lady Tigers 45 VS Huntington St. Joe 62- FINAL

Post by caglewis »

This game will be broadcast - available as below:
ALMOST GAME TIME
ON THE RADIO - WIRO 1230 AM
ON THE INTERNET AT: http://www.foxsports1420.com/main.html.
Ignore the "LISTEN LIVE" link at the upper left - it doesn't work! - INSTEAD....
Scroll down a ways and in the middle column click on the box showing both the Fox Sports and the iheartradio logos; then click on stream HERE; then put ZIPcode 45638 in the small box at the top left. Then click on Fox Sports 1230 & 1420. Kind of cumbersome, I know, but it gets you there!

yes it is. Elswick better bring her best yet cause Sara Sang has signed at Navy and is awesome on the inside. Hope the Ohio team wins but it is not looking good.

Elswick won't have a problem if her team gets her the ball. You get her the ball and it collapses the defense and opens several other Ironton players for her to feed it back out to them for an open shot. But that's not how they play. So we'll see how she does off from put backs.

Wanted to share my humor on Linns radio broadcast after the game. Elswick didn't have a problem with the two big girls. I think she out scored both of them. Oh yeah, she was the all game high scorer. The other thing about the Wheelersburg girls shuttin her down 5'2" and 5'3". That was really hilarious because what everyone in the stands around us was seeing was Ironton's guards not gettin her the ball. They don't see her. If Ironton's coach had any sense about winning then he'd get his big girl the ball. If she's doubled or tripled up and doesn't have a shot then thats collapsing the opponents defense and she passes back out to an open team mate for the open shot. It doesn't take a brain. Still way too many turnovers to say that our guards know how to take care of the ball.

Not hardly! We sit with some fine Wheelersburg people that were laughin their butts off because of what they seen. ZTs big girl had 30 some pts. on the Burg cause they kept feeding her the ball. The Burgs short girls couldnt do anything with her. Its common sense. I have several games and Ironton has lost at least 3 cause of this. It'll b a short tournament run for'em

What exactly is this supposed to mean? Everytime you and ole cuzin funk get on here and run your chops about somebodys team, does that mean your relation cause your both from Oak Hill? I'm not saying that I dont agree with some of what this sportnut says; but I will say that other teams love the problem with Irontons ball play cause that means less hassle for their team when we face off. Absolutely your gonna get mouthy everytime someone voices their opinion on the matter to want it corrected.
I haven't been on here saying anything. Why bother. Nothings gonna change, my daughter is at least 2 games away from finishing her high school career at Ironton. As we have told her, "just do your thing when you do get to touch the ball and don't worry about anything else." She's signed and she gets her points regardless. Good luck Lady Tigers Thursday night. Congrads to Huntington ST Joe girls. Nice job. from Ironton's #21's mom. MightyOaksFan, I don't have a problem with putting my name to my post sweetheart.

ZT's big girl actually had 17, with an additional 4 minutes in overtime. Not quite 30 some.

Ironton has a very young Team this year and missing a starting Point Guard in Sophomore Rebecca Potter the entire season from a preseason injury hasn't helped with depth.

Huntington ST Joe has a really good Team year in and year out, good luck to them.

GO TIGERS..........

Aren't we all related in Oak Hill? I don't have a problem putting my name out there either.
