Saturday 1/17 scores & schedule
Re: Saturday 1/17 scores & schedule
I'm very surprised. Can you give us a run down. How did Eastern put up 53 on Piketon?beaver92 wrote:Eastern pike-53. Piketon-47 Final.

Roney had 27- pts and 0 fouls and the rest of the team play good ball today very few turnovers it was a pretty evenly matched game the score was close all the way up to the last minute then eastern pulled ahead Piketon played pretty good defense they only have one scorer - lawhorn she was really hot in the first half several threes but then cooled off in the second half

Impressive win for Eastern. They must have really been on top of their game. Piketon usually gets some inside scoring from Ward, Blanton and Pack. I'm guessing Roney's length must have caused problems. Thanks for the info!beaver92 wrote:Roney had 27- pts and 0 fouls and the rest of the team play good ball today very few turnovers it was a pretty evenly matched game the score was close all the way up to the last minute then eastern pulled ahead Piketon played pretty good defense they only have one scorer - lawhorn she was really hot in the first half several threes but then cooled off in the second half

Warren 41
Jackson 31
Final
Rebecca Green left the game in the early 4th with a concussion and Sam Humphreys barely played due to foul trouble and then a broken nose....on neither play was a foul of any sorts called. Kacee Jenkins played with 4 fouls and finished with 15 or 16. Abby Waugh also had a nice hustle game but also had 4 fouls and having to play the 4th, Lauren Parks fouled out in the 3rd quarter.
Buzzard finished with 16.
Jackson had tied it at 25 a little past 1/2 way thru the 3rd but lost 3 of their 5 starters over the next few minutes.
Warren was a little better, took care of the ball better, made their free throws better and earned the road win.
Hopefully Green and Humphreys aren't out long but a full and safe recovery is far more important
