Fall League for Eastern and Central Ohio

Post by bball4evr »

The Ohio Express Fall League will start on Sunday, September 7 and run through Sunday, October 19. The divisions will be as follows, grades 3-5, grades 6-8, and high school. (Please note that selected 8th graders will play in the high school division). Cost for the Fall League is $75 and we will provide a Fall League T-Shirt as part of the cost.

Games will be played on Sundays with the grade school league in late morning and early afternoon, the middle school division will follow in the afternoon and high school late afternoon. Players will get two games every Sunday. We hope to follow a play one game, off one game, play one game format. This is a play only league with no practices and competition only on Sundays. This league is meant merely to keep a basketball in the girls hands and shake the rust off before school season starts.

Teams are rotated every couple of weeks to keep a competitive balance. We do accept grade school teams as well as individuals.

Last years league saw some of the most talented players in eastern Ohio playing. We expect more of the same this year.

Please note that there are limited spaces available due to limited gym space. Deadline to enter the fall league is August 21, 2014. Use this link to sign up.

Players from Holmes county, Licking county, Muskingum, Perry, Guernsey, Coshocton, Fairfield counties to name a few. Zanesville is an hour or less from Logan and Athens.

Some questions that have been asked.

1. This will not conflict with school sports as games are on Sundays and there are no practice.
2. We will team players from the same school or area as permitted by OHSAA rules. Grade school teams can play as a team.
3. Individual players can sign up.
4. Everything is done on Sundays. Two games per player. Teams are changed every couple of weeks to keep it competitive.

Please feel free to call with any questions.

Will there be eight to ten televisions each with a different NFL game airing during the league? ;)

Top Ten Reasons to Play in Fall League
1. Played on Sundays so no conflict with school sports
2. Great competition
3. It is a relaxed environment with focus on getting better
4. Players from all over, as of now we have players from 10 surrounding counties
5. Keeps a basketball in your hand and prepares you for school season
6. Get to play different positions and do things you aren't normally used to doing
7. Play with and against different players that you might normally not get to see
8. Get a t-shirt (You can never have enough of them!)
9. Rosters are kept to a minimum so plenty of playing time for all
10. IT IS FUN!!!
