Should be a fun one between two quality teams. Differing styles of play.

These two teams probably know each other a little better than maybe we realize. I'm pretty sure they scrimmaged before the season started. I don't really know how the scrimmage went, plus that was sometime ago.

VC will be hard to handle with Coach Bentley drawing up the game plan. VC has also played a far tougher schedule than Circleville could ever think of scheduling.

Strength of schedule doesn’t mean anything. Either you can play or you can’t.

It means a little

The rankings also mean very little. No way was Unioto 8th best in the state and I’m pretty skeptical Circleville is the top team in D2 in the state of Ohio. Have some good AP representation.

I won’t be surprised if VC wins. Circleville obviously has won every game so that is telling on how things might go if it’s close late.

Circleville wins this handily. Their bigs will eliminate VC size and their guards are physical and athletic. They bring a girl off the bench that can shut down any guard she plays. And I’m fairly certain their schedule is as tough enough. They beat Tri-Valley and ripped through the Mid-State league. They are headed to the Regional Final.

I guess VC should just stay home, it sounds like Circleville is unbeatable. To say they beat Tri Valley means absolutely nothing, Tri Valley struggled with West M back in January. I’m not sure if you have ever seen West M but VC would throttle West M. This is the very reason we play the games.

The Tvc 3 year straight champion doesn’t have a chance... If you believe that Elvis will be at the game !! Vinton County is solid and I guarantee you that Bentley and his lady Vikings will not be intimidated. Crazy to say but the number 1 team in the state in my opinion is the underdog...

Circleville defense is the difference in this game. They will not allow the up and down game Vinton likes. Vinton in the half court will have problems scoring. I’ll take cville by 14.

Sounds as if this may be a great one to go and see. Might just come down to witch team can stay focused, and play the most mistake free game ?

Circleville is a legitimate number one team. One player better than last year. Their guards will drive and score or dump off to the bigs. VC plays fast with reckless abandon and will need those shots to fall (like the first quarter of the Unioto game) in order to keep it close.

If Vinton can shoot lights out this could be an exciting game but I look for the Tigers to move on to the next round.

Just out of curiosity. You say that Tri-Valley struggled with West M. How do you figure? They played them twice, winning both games. One 53-19 and one 68-12.

I was thinking the first meeting was a 10point game. My apologies!

Agreed. This is their 3rd year in a row playing in the District Championship. The third year in a row that they are hearing "this could be the first girls basketball team in Vinton County history to be district champions".

There is a lot of motivation for this game. You can look at many other factors, other than just beating the number one team in the state.

It's not going to be easy, but there's reason this is their 3rd year in a row in this game, and I don't think they want to settle with a 3rd straight year coming up short.

They have all the motivation in the world. They have the talent to compete with anybody. Just gotta use that motivational fuel and execute their gameplan!
