Should be an outstanding ballgame between two of the better girls programs in the State of Ohio.

I watched Spring Valley vs Notre Dame
Spring Valley won 64-57

I was so impressed with ND though.

3 Ava Hassel is so smooth is going to be one of the best players Fort Frye has seen all year. Plays hard on both sides of ball. Fantastic defender. Titans love to press and trap and she’s constantly causing havoc. Great shooter can heat up fast. She’s going to have a tough matchup with Fort Frye guard Kenzie Dalton. Dalton has to have about 6-8 steals a game.

14 Dettwiller - Shes the only true post player they have. She’s a monster on the boards on both sides of the ball. A lot of the time her teammates are leaking out assuming she will get the rebound. If Cadets can box her out they should clean up offensive boards. She’s a great finisher around the rim she gets to the foul line a ton. I’m excited to see Kesselring and Karlee Ross guard her.

2 Sr Pg Schmidt - Shes been struggling with her shot but she’s a leader. She’s a great ball handler. Her and Hassel make it almost impossible to press them. She gets a ton of steals in the press. She needs to step up in score if first to options are taken out of the game.

20 Cassidy - Shes long and athletic. She’s a fantastic passer and has good court vision. She’s a spot up 3 point shooter.

11 Dettwiller - Shes only a freshman she’s tall but in this game she struggled with turnovers. I think she has a ton of potential.

4 Schafer - Is a nice role player she is going to come in and help with the trap on the press.

25 Campbell plays around the rim watch Schmidt and Hassel drive and kick to her inside.

10 Smith she was wide open and wasn’t going to shoot another fast fantastic defender.

They are about 8 deep

Half court defense is fantastic as well as the press

They like to cause turnovers and have fast tempo in transition. They like to push and kick for 3.

Good offensive rebounding team

They did seem to allow Spring Valley to make a ton of 3s. SV ran the open post just like Fort Frye. The middle was wide open.

I think Kesselring should score a ton if Dettwiller is on the bench not many other girls can matchup with her.

This will be an awesome game and I’m looking forward to it.

Lady Cadets by double digits (They held a much taller , albeit young 1 loss Berne Union team in check the whole game last night in a very physical game. If not for missed f/t's and unforced turnover's this could have easily been a 15-20 point win).

I think, when your team reaches certain point, you just sit back and enjoy that they are still playing. Everyone is elite and anything can happen.

Game to game comparisons doesnt mean a thing it's about how teams matchup with one another. Good luck to both teams as I have no dog in the fight.

The game was never in doubt even without the "if's". I have no dog in the fight so may the best team win. :D

ND got up 7-2 and then Fort Frye went on a 10-0 run. Drained a 3 at the buzzer

Fort Frye 12

I believe the game is being broadcast on WJAW 100.9 out of McConnellsville and you can stream it there.
