1975/76 Adena. Led by the great Cindy Noble, also Ruth Ann Ater and Mary Beth Speakman. They went unbeaten and won the first OHSAA girls tournament in Class A (only 3 divisions then: A, AA, AAA). Actually, in 3 years they NEVER lost a varsity contest, but there were no season ending tournaments in 1974 and 1975. Noble went on to become an All American at Tennessee, and was a member of the 1980 Olympic gold medal team. She was named the 1975/76 Ohio High School female athlete of the year (pre-Ms. Basketball). She is also a member of the Naismith National Hall of Fame. This same group of girls won the Class A state volleyball title in the fall of 1975. Not sure SE Ohio has seen a collective group like them in the 45 years Ohio girls sports tournaments have been played...

Logan had 4 players who were 1000 point scorers in their careers on the same team at one time :

Katie Smith 2740 point scorer
Melissa Cooper 1327 points
Tez Kraft 1404 points
Tami Hampshire 1158 points

Unbelievable TEAMs in Logan at this time 1992-1994 with these ladies ...

I may be wrong on the exact years ( 2007-2009 ) that they played together, but Oak Hill I'm pretty sure also had 4 girls that scored over 1000 pts. Even though they didn't win the State Championship, they did play in the Final's at least 2 of those years. Karissa Adkins, Rebecka Puckett, Brianna Butler, and Taylor Hale all 4 scored over 1000 pts.

I think you have to throw Unioto in the mix. There run from State Runners up in 87, Regional Runner up in 88 and State Runner up in 89. Suzie Bowling, Stephanie Winegartner, Natalie Hill, Lori McClellan all in the mix. They have many roll players that got the job done with the listed players as being the bookends. It was great to see the support the community gave these teams was amazing. In 87 I remember playing the Regionals in Lancaster and the following was nice but to jump to 89 Unioto fans arrived early and in great numbers to pack tourney venues. I remember Unioto fans filling half of Portsmouth HS for the District games and filling Lancaster HS gym for the Regionals. I remember one coach playing Unioto mentioned what a great following had and hope that they could only hope to have a 2 to 1 ratio in fan support.

The 1991-92 Logan girls were truly spectacular.

They finished 25-3 overall and as the runner-up in Division I. Most of the same team went 26-1 in '90-'91, that season ended with a state semi-final loss to Canfield.

They lost to Penn Hills (Pittsburgh) in the Pickerington Holiday Tournament and to Urbana in the regular season while defeating Mother of Mercy (Cincinnati), Bishop Guilfoyle (Altoona, PA), and Magnicat out of Rocky River. All were power house programs.

In the tournament, they had to go through three UNDEFEATED teams after the District - knocking off Youngstown Boardman (56-39) and Wooster (55-42) in the regional and then beating undefeated Vandalia Butler (60-48) in the state semifinal before falling to Pickerington in the state title game.

Most people are familiar with Katie Smith. She was named Ms. Basketball and also the Gatorade National Player of the Year; and played in the Kodak All-American game (at the time the girls version of the McDonalds All-American game).

But in addition, the team featured 1,000 point scorers Melissa Cooper, Tez Kraft, and Tami Hampshire.

Tez Kraft had a great career at UMass (where she scored 1,000 and was an All-A10 performer), Cooper played at Ohio U. Hampshire had a good career at Ohio Wesleyan. Those three were all sophomores in '91-'92.

Need to mention the Waterford Lady Cats from 2015-2018. State runner-up in 15 and 17, champs in 16, and final 4 in 18 for 4 straight state tournament appearances. The 2016 team had 4 members who scored 1000+ points; Drayer and Porter in 16 and Ball and Kern in 18 and 4 players that played college ball after high school. I believe the senior class from 2018 posted a career record of 108-8 at the varsity level and also defeated Parkersburg High School in 2017 when PHS won the 3-A championship in WV.
By no means am I saying they could have beaten Logan and Adena in their prime but for a small school they were pretty tough.

Split with PHS that season, both winning on their home floor.

2014 Eastern would blow any of those Waterford teams out of the water. No disrespect but the competition they faced was much tougher. Especially 16-18. 15 Waterford team was the best for them

Delayed reply here but how many girls go to PHS vs Waterford? It’s like playing a D1 school in Ohio.

Yea, I remember them being really impressive and read on here from 91-94 they were clearly the best in this part of the state. Never did hear how many state titles they won though.

Nice thought, but I'm sure some would, they actually have, argue that their teams that won state titles could have beaten them.

That’s fine. A lot of teams around that have won D4 state titles had 4 talented players over 5’10 and some went on to D1 ball and mix in one of the 5 greatest female players in the history of basketball. The teams knocking out Logan in the tourney had the 6’0 D1 players with collegiate guards and bigger schools.

FWIW I watched the state championship Eastern team and they were incredible. Tremendous tremendous team that got it done all the way through.....and I saw all the great Waterford teams dominate through the regionals.

I think if that Eastern team played that Logan team 20x....they might beat them once but I’d guess Logan would win more than half of the games by 20+ points.

The great Oak Hill and Eastern Brown teams would’ve been good games with Eastern and Waterford.
