Athens picks up a road win at Meigs. (61-59)
Athens is an improved team now 4-16 (3-9) but have won 3 of last 5 games.
Athens host Unioto on Saturday afternoon.

Yea the guy who got ran out and the guy who's buddy didn't get the job were all over here posting about Athens when they were losing. I haven't seen much from them of late though. Funny how that works. :mrgreen:

Nah, isn’t his daughter a senior? The only reason VC hired him. VC could ever win a district title with Vinton people so now trying with Logan people. Learned from combs and hall. Gotta recruit to win :lol:

100% ... agree!! Combs and Bentley are both win at all cost coaches... like I have posted before Coach Combs will tolerate Bentley pressing up 40 multiple technicals because Bentley has twins boys coming and Combs will receive the benefits.

With the problems at Logan I would say VC didn't have to recruit very hard. 8-)

Is this person not from the same Athens Ohio that we all know and tolerate?Number one, tell me the best team Athens has put out for any sport where all the players were k-12 Athens kids. Second, Vinton kids go to River Valley so I’m not sure where they come into the mix here. Third, when and who had Matt Combs recruited for boys basketball? Lol That one is just silly right there. 😂 Fourth and finally, why is VC being discussed on an Athens thread? We have our own thread of haters. No need to hate on multiple threads.

Btw, VC just beat 15-3 North Adams on the road by double digits.

If you have seen this years boys varsity basketball team-----show me the kids that Combs recruited........ I can think of a hand full over the years that moved in---but we in no way have recruited--maybe if you look at Jackson or Oak Hill over the years---i would guess most schools in the TVC have had a few kids leave and moved to a different high school....
