I understand that you play to win the game, but how big of a margin does a person need to feel comfortable.

It’s Rod Bentley, what do you expect?

Jackson’s inexperience showed. VC didn’t “run it up”. They were hot, and jackson didn’t play well. That’s a bad combination for any team playing VC this year.

With a season full of uncertainty and the chance to be canceled at any moment, they should've let the starters play the whole game.

Yeah then they’d be ready for a district championship or regional type game. Starters in up 50 points is the key moments during the season that final four teams need.

Maybe coaches should practice a few possessions in the second half where they handle the pressure and work the ball around getting an open layup or nothing. Teams that continuously work the ball around for the open 3’s tend to get deep into the tournament and can’t advance because of their mindset and inability to work the ball and take time off the clock say up 7 with 1:35 remaining. Those type situation will arise later in the year against a Greenfield, Sheridan, Miami Trace (whoever is also very good) and working the ball for quick threes over a team of mostly freshman won’t likely get it done in the round of the tournament when things get tough.

Score 500% more points than your opponent in the first half and then score 25 in the third quarter and then have starters in for more minutes in the 4th? Good Luck in the regionals.

Week 1 everyone is bashing Vinton County.. I was shocked when I found out the score I really thought that Jackson would be more competitive with those incoming freshmen but let’s face it Vinton County is explosive and that freshman class that Coach Bentley received when Zinn Bartoe came in are just a different level then Jackson freshman .

What I watched (had two games going on at once) VC couldn’t miss in the 2nd qtr...the livestream didn’t show the score after the end of the first and VC just kept making everything....seemed like they were well over 50 but the scoreboard showed 46.

I don’t think they really ran up the score and in the 4th it appeared maybe trying to get a few stars another basket or two. Hard to say watching from home. I thought Jackson’s defense was in the right spot a lot but VC girls made the basket anyways. The reserves came in and did the same as the main rotation but just a skill level below.

I don’t think the Walburn girl played in the 2nd half so hope she’s ok.
