It’s like the announcers keep saying, lot of no calls on fouls but it is the regional finals where they let a lot of stuff go.

Can someone explain why that is? It happens in the boys games also. How do you expect teams to have every little foul called all season and then in the tourney, mainly the regionals you let teams get by with everything??? How do you expect a team to adjust to that?

Call the game the same way it was called all year. Call it like it’s supposed to be called.
I agree

In the Fort vs Hiland game they called everything. Id rather them let the kids play.

57-31 Final. Hiland is a well oiled machine. They were subbing in 3 girls at a time and went about 8-10 deep. They have a good mix of shooting guards and two bigs underneath. Those two bigs probably go about 6/1 and 150-160. Tough to handle.

Burg girls have nothing to be ashamed of. They just got beat by a better team.

Congrats to the Burg Seniors. I know a few of them have signed to either play volleyball or basketball or both at the next level. Good luck to whatever the future holds.

To an extent let them play but not to the point where they trap a player and start smacking the crap out of the player and the steal the ball. On the playground that gets you an elbow in the temple.

Congrats Burg on a big run. Keep your chins us. That was a good team. These made the state finals a record 18 times now.

The only way our girls from this area are going to be able to win at the regional level is to learn to be as physical as the east district teams play. Our leagues do not allow that kind of physicality. Games are called different over there. I see the same thing in the Cincinnati area. We've got to evolve. McClains girls used to play that way.body up and don't let an athlete get free.

I completely agree, Hoopie74. We felt the same way when we played Waterford. We weren't used to the physicality and we hadn't been allowed to play that way all season. I'm fine with playing that way as long as the players get to play that way all season. They don't magically adjust to it in a tournament game. There has to be more consistency. (And for the record, we didn't loss because of that. Not making excuses.)

And Congrats to Burg on a great season. You lost to an excellent team. Hiland was full throttle from start to finish. Impressive.
