Final

Johnson rimmed out 14 footer at buzzer

Peebles had ball and tie game with 25 seconds left and Peebles timeout and called for Johnson to lob ball into post where it was double teamed…,.just let Johnson go at it with 6 seconds left. Wow.

Terribly sloppy game with every touch near the basket as a foul. Brutal to watch. Girls just standing with arms straight in air, offensive player flails into them…foul every time. Terrible

Whiteoak moves to 5-5

Johnson 22

Yeager 10
Parr 9
Hill 7
Hamm 6
McMullen 4
Carr 3
23 % shooting again for Peebles. 11 girls in the high school program. I'm getting tired of losing.haha! Tough year for boys and girls varsity. Good work WO. On to the next game.
Once Johnson passed the ball….it never got back to her. She didn’t have a good shooting game but her shots were better looks than most others. Last possession and 25 seconds left….it has to be her shooting final shot or open layup for someone else….not a log into a triple team with 16 seconds left
I listened to it on the radio coming home from Hillsboro. I thought the same thing. Work clock and have Payton take the final shot. Microcosm of the season. Boys and girls. Pretty sad ! Oh well. One game at a time.

Athens 3-0? What’d they do hire Bulldog84?

Athens 3-0? What’d they do ... hire Bulldog84?
They made changes to their middle school and youth programs in the past 3 years and these classes are finally becoming high schoolers. Athens is full of talented freshmen and sophomores who can play. One of their issues in the past was the lack of players wanting to play at the high school level, so they got a few coaches and parents on board to try to rebuild a youth/middle school program.

Okay good. I remember Bulldog84 always saying the only problem was coaching so I thought maybe they hired him since he seemed to have the answer.
