Jackson1.....Big win for the Ironladies tonight. Another shot at Marietta.

Craig Dunn of the Logan Daily News gave me the lowdown on the match.

It was a nice win for our kids. We jumped out early and wore our fingernails off just hanging on. Credit Logan for battling back the whole game.

Hats off to Jackson who took advantage, early in the game, with Logan's defensive alignment. Logan scrapped all the way through the game and nearly tied it late. Anyway congrats to Logan for a great year, and good luck to Ironladies for the Marietta match.

The Fairfield - Lynchburg game was a thriller. Well played by both teams. This is Fairfield's first ever sectional title as well as the first ever time defeating the Mustangs. We've always had so much respect for Coach West's program. They are a class act.

The Lady Lions tied the game with 3:03 left in the second half. The after two scoreless overtimes where both teams had chances to end the game, Fairfield outscored them in the shoot out 4-2.

Congrat's to Mark and the Lady Sherman's. We look forward to Tuesday night.

Go Lady Lions!

Hats off to Marietta who controlled their game with Jackson from the start.

With that said, to you boys in the student section who thought it was so cool to ridicule the goalie about her weight, shame on you. She has battled back from a broken bone midseason to finally play again. How could you be so cruel? Where were the school's administrators? Oh yea, that same question was asked a few years ago at a girls basketball game.

I'm so proud of the Lady Lions for the way they played tonight they are a class act. It's a honor to coach them.
