It should be an interesting seeding drawing on Sunday with Marietta, Waverly, Warren, and Athens all currently with only 1 loss and in the same sectional!
I agree! We tied a couple weeks ago playing in the Everglades...looks it will be dry for tomorrow but the boxes are a mess. Warren is a huge rival...they've had our number too. We are 0-1-2 in the past 2 years.

Waverly seems to have the driver's seat as they don't play any of the other 3. Athens loss was to Mtta and a tie with Warren. Mtta's loss was to Akron Hoban. Warren's loss was to Zanesville...which Mtta just beat. But I have no idea on how any of that affects seeding.

Minford 8
West 1

Heck of a job by Minford's keeper. He stopped at least 3 shots that should've gone in.

Waverly 2
Northwest 1

Waverly didn't play their best game by any means. But good teams always find a way to win. Congrats to the Tigers!

Warren continues to have Marietta's "number" as they win 3-2 with a goal to break the 2-2 tie with about 8 min left. That will probably knock out Marietta's chance to have a 2nd tourney home game.

That 2-1 victory gives Waverly the outright SOC championship for two years in a row!
Now Tigers beat the Burg and finish with an undefeated league season.

GREAT game to watch...but sucks being on the losing end. You're right...probably going to be on the road more this year...Seeding is Sunday.

Northwest gave it everything they had last night and played an absolutly great defensive game. Waverly outshot them 27-5 but were rarely able to get through the back for a good look and had to rely on long shots and crosses. Northwest scored 1st off of a deflection and took a 1-0 lead into half. Waverly got one back in the 35th minute on a PK after a foul in the box. Finally on Waverly's 10th corner of the evening Chris Wiget sent a ball to the far post and freshman Nick Bradley headed it in with authority to give Waverly the SOC championship.

Waverly now stands at 13-1-1 heading into the tournament drawing.
