Chillicothe wins...Logan had to win order to win the SEOAL West league. Marietta faces Chillicothe, while Logan hosts Warren at home on Sat. afternoon.

Logan 0
Pickerington North 3

The score at half time was tied 0-0. They kept the offensive pressure on the entire game. Pickerington had many more shots on goal than Logan. It will be interesting to see final stats on this game!

I think you are right about that. from OHSAA website:

Any soccer player or bench personnel ejected with a red card (NF Rule 12-8-3) or a
red/yellow card (NF 12-8-2(a)) shall be ineligible for all contests for the remainder
of that day. In addition, the student shall be ineligible for all contests at all levels in
soccer until two regular season/tournament contests are played at the same level as
the ejection.

FU controls play most of the game but couldn`t finish. This is the 9th shutout of the year which breaks the school record set last year. Congratulations Keeper Josh Hayes and the rest of the team. FU goes to 10-1-2.

so what will the seeds be??
i think regardless of who played who i think fu now has to be the 1
9 shut outs and some of the other teams in the district played the same opponents and didnt have the same results..i think fu has earned it at this point.

FU and Chillicothe will be tight for the 1.

Hillsboro will probably get the 3 and may sneak in a 1 vote, but they play a very weak schedule.
Unioto, Washington, and Circleville are in the fighting for the 4. Unioto beat both, so I think they will get the benefit there. WCH is 7-4-3, but got pounded by Circleville early, so that could factor into the 5...but they will have the league voting for them, so we'll see.

If anybody could please help a man out...I need the box score for the Clay/New Boston game and the West/Clay game (meaning who scored the goals for both teams, also)

Thanks for anyone who can help me out!

Completely disagree that Fairfield Union has earned the #1 seed vs Chillicothe. It's a close one to call.

FU is 10-1-2 but has a lower strength of schedule. FU opposition has a combined record of 53-81-30. Their opponents have won / tied about 51% of their games.
They have also played 4 D3 teams...even if one of them is Bloom Carrol its still D3.

Chillicothe is 10-3-1 and their combined opponents record is 67-80-26. Their opponents have won or tied approx 54% of their games. The also do not play any D3 opponents and are 3-1-1 against D1 schools.

Chillicothe and FU have but one common opponent to this point.......Circleville. FU beat them 3-0 and Chillicothe beat them 7-2.

FU plays Teays Valley but after the seeding meeting. (Chillicothe lost to TV at home 1-0, but was without leading scored Tony Skowronek)

I could see a case made for either team, but records won't be the only thing looked at by the coaches.

FU moves to 11-1-2 and should be a #1 seed in the Southeast District.

if 54% and 51% are all the difference in opponents record then the fact fu has 1 loss should be the determining factor. i think fu has totally earned it. im not saying they will win the district but i think to this point they have earned the #1 seed. Only thing that will keep them from it will be that the other coaches at the draw havent played them so may just give it to chilli....ive been to the draw and totally understand how it works. First team to talk will have alot to do with how things go.

Sorry, still not convinced FU is the top seed. Not even sure if they are one of the top 5 teams in the southeast.

FU might get the # 1 seed, they might not. Sure, their record is great, as would many other teams who played their schedule.

They deserve to be considered, but records are not the only considerations.

Everyone will soon see how much they deserved it come tournament time. You can pad your record by playing weak competition but the tournament will tell the story.

If FU wants to be be deserving of the top seed they shoud drop some of their current non-conference foes and pick up some of the teams that always seem to get seeded ahead of them. Then the other coaches in the southeast will have a better idea of how good they really are.

Bottom line, FU has only played 3 quality opponents this year and they are 0-1-2 against those opponents.

i bet had fu lost to hammy you'd have said that was a bad loss, but since its a tie you say its a look what they did against good teams... fu isnt going to just schedule teams 2 hours away all year so they can have respect of the district...

That's fine....just saying you can't get the respect you want playing the schedule you have. Lancaster is not that far from Columbus. Definitely not two hours, let's not exaggerate. FU could improve their schedule greatly with one or two changes.

All of the Southeast District teams have the same problem with a lack of respect from the powers that be that Fairfield Union is experiencing now. Very few teams play a decent schedule compared to our Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, and Cleveland brethern, and when the Southeast teams do move outside their little circles they often do not fare too well.

Since going to 3 divisions when was the last time a Southeast District team won a game at the regional level in D1 or D2? Hasn't happened.... No one in the state respects soccer in the Southeast and they won't until teams improve their schedules and get some wins in those marquee games, and win at the regional level. Its as simple as that.

Good luck to Fairfield with the seeding and in the tournament. They have had a great year and have compiled a good record, but so would half a dozen other southeast district schools with their schedule. You have to put it all in perspective.
