Terrific game for the Bulldogs' opener. Good clean match with the winner coming off a corner kick from Rowe to Goddard. Swords with 10 saves, at least a couple pretty impressive. Both teams played well and kept it classy despite the heat. Congrats to Corey and his team. Best of luck the rest of the way.

Unioto led 3-0 at the half. They travel to Waverly on Thursday in what should be a big game.

Congratulations to the Adena Soccer team who started off the season with a 5-1 home win over Piketon. The Warriors went winless last season while playing primarily with 6 boys and 5 girls on the field. Juniors Justin and Jacob Lemaster scored 2 goals each and First -year Sophomore Levi Lane scored one. Seniors Paige Wright and Brittany Gleich and Sophomore Taylor Freeman played a solid defensive game only allowing 7 shots. Junior Goalkeeper Donavon Spriggs had 6 saves and only gave up a penalty kick goal with 5 minutes remaining. The Warriors travel to Eastern Pike on Thursday.

Very fun game to watch. West controlled parts of the game, and at others St. Joe set the pace. Both teams looked very good.

very dismal performance by the Jeeps, just didn't have it. Thought Alexander didn't play to the best of their abilities either but they grinded out the victory. Alex keep made a good save on the PK. Jeeps missed that PK and sent another break away wide late in the game.
