Northwest wins in a hard fought game 3-2. Very impressed by the fight West Union had tonight.

Wow on the Northwest loss. Also thought Minford would give Webster a better game. Congrats to both teams on advancing*

It sounded like NW struggled last night too, still didn’t expect them to be bounced this early though.

Why does SE boys d3 get 1 team to regional but the girls get 2? Both have 20 teams

It comes down to the number of teams that other districts hve.

In Girls, the Central District only has 16 teams, so they only get 1 team out and the SE gets 2.

In Boys, the CD has 24 teams, so they get 2 teams and the SE only gets 1.

It sucks that it comes down to that, but that’s just how the OHSAA does it. It could change in any year too, that’s the worst part about it.

Northwest had been slumping since the loss to Wheelersburg for the SOC title IMO.
Minford had some injuries that really hurt them this year and they have to be disappointed after the start they had to the season. I think they got some guys back but not at 100% for tournament play.
South Webster and Lynchburg should be an exciting game this weekend. Good Luck to both teams!

Alex scored on a PK with 4:44 left to win. It was a tough call, but I can understand how it was called. There couldn’t have been more than a handful of shots on goal in the game, very stagnant game with decent defense by both teams.

Athens looks like they can walk into Regionals with their remaining side of the District. Waverly played without their leading scorer do to illness.

Marietta will not be an easy game for the Bulldogs.

That’s how it should be. Each step in the tourney is a little steeper.
