Wow. That sure speaks of the importance of home field advantage in this series.

Wheelersburg vs. Waverly has become one of the craziest, most entertaining series in the SOC. There's always something exciting happening in this game. This game usually keeps fans on the edge of their seats for the full 80 minutes of play. Both teams have had some great comebacks the past few years.

Waverly needs to be careful to play their style for the entire game and not get into Burg's style of play. It's difficult to play Burg's style of soccer at Burg and win.

Home field advantage is very important in this game. Weather may be a factor also. I would very much appreciate updates during the game.

Hopfully it won't be wet to "hurt" the football field.

35 minutes left. Waverly tied it up off a diving header.

Almost a must win for Burg...with both teams with games against SW and Minford remaining with Tigers holding a 1 game lead. So a Tiger Tie is a good thing for Waverly.

Harrison Martin is certainly making his mark on this season...with his 6'4 frame he is a matchup nightmare in the midfield and esp. in the box as he showed against West and tonight. He is gaining momentum for POY in SOC.

This was a good game. Only got to see the 2nd half, but both teams have some good offensive threats. Waverly seemed to have more in the midfield and that probably gave them more chances on offense. Didn't get to see Lewis' goal, but no surprise that he scored (he is a good player). Waverly limited his chances pretty well in the 2nd half. Waverly had a sweet goal. Was that a diving header?

You hit the nail on the head! Wheelersburg had nothing in the middle of the field most of the game. Until the coaches decide to play a full field game instead of playing only each end, Wheelersburg will struggle keeping momentum in these types of games. When Burg did push up the field, everyone was in the box and the transition game provided too many chances for Waverly. Good game by 2 very good teams.

pirate game plan going in is tie or do not lose. tie is viewed of a victory. it does not negatively impact winning percentage. waverly did a nice job in transition. however they were pushed further into their third of the field before starting. why the score was 1 to 1. at times there were 10 pirates in the box and we had a single forward against a flat 4 and their keeper. shots on goal were very lopsided. pirate keeper did a nice job, and so did the tiger keeper. pirate defense perservered and hats off to them. waverly is a good team and will be for some time to come. also, well coached. best of luck the remainder of the season.
