Unioto is returning ALL varsity players from last season and bringing in some very talented freshmen. Should be another great season for the Lady Shermans!

ROLL ON TANKS!

Unioto should be absolutely outstanding once again, like Unioto Rocks said, return everyone and get a solid freshman class to add some needed depth, add in a very good and hungry coaching staff and you've got all you need for another long tournament run. But, Eastern Brown, Lynchburg Clay, and Zane Trace will be solid once again, so it's going to still be a tough out for anybody in D2.

Marietta has been in the D1 District Title game each of the past 6 seasons, so I'll take them to return and they have played Hillsboro in the past 4, so that's my early prediction for that matchup.

Marietta graduated several seniors. Not expecting them to be the team that they were last year.

Things have changed dramatically as OHSAA created a 3rd division for girls soccer. Just a hunch that Unioto, Fairfield Union, Circleville and possibly Washington Court House will move to what was DI. The divisions will be announced officially during the 3rd week of May. The District Boards will then align the teams accordingly.

Amvets...........I hope you`re wrong. I know that if Fairfield Union is moved up there is no way they can compete with the big schools. Luckily we`re in the SE District and there aren`t that many big schools, but still!!

Amvets- The way it looked to me was that those schools will still be D2, but there will be a good number of D1 schools that will drop to D2. Not sure why there is a need for a 3rd division just yet, as I thought you had to have well over 500 schools to get a 3rd division.

OHSAA released the breakdowns yesterday. Dani, there are apparently 507 teams which brought on the 3rd division. Smeltzy I am pretty sure FU would remain in DII based on the numbers I saw. Redistricting is going to begin soon.

Boys

Div I: 379 and more (187 teams)

Div II: 200 - 378 (186 teams)

Div III: 199 and under (186 teams)

599 teams total

Girls

Div I: 371 and more (169 teams)

Div II: 202 - 370 (169 teams)

Div III: 201 and under (169 teams)

507 teams total

Dani, your right from the way it appears what was SE DI will become SE DII with Unioto, Circleville, WCH and FU remaining in DII. The remaining SE DII teams will become SE DIII. When I have more time I will go through each SE team and try to guess what the divisions will be.

Graduating your entire starting team, minus a few, plus the first five off the bench will hurt them.
But hoping Marietta can come back from that and have a good season. Warren is looking to make their mark
on the SEOAL this season.. We didn't have a bad season last year, and we're looking to make it better this year.

Good luck to all the teams.

As of now Chillicothe does not have a coach in place and from what I hear only 14 girls are rostered.

I would guess that Zane Trace and Eastern Brown will be the top 2 teams in D3.

Looks like Chillicothe will move to D2 as well... slips under the cut-off by 3 girls.
