I don't see any surprises happening on the 10/19 games. I think the home teams will advance in each of those. The 8/9, 7/10, and 6/11 games should all be interesting. Of those 3 games the only lopsided affair, at least on paper, is Westfall at Alexander. Alexander should win this one easily based on record and schedule, but Westfall is never an easy out and have won 5 games in a row.

Great to see tourney time in soccer. Cool nights and hot soccer. Will miss getting to watch some of these but glad they are getting played.

Northwest becomes the first team to advance in the opening round. West team had a player test positive for Covid and they have to quarantine for 2 weeks, which means they can not play their opening game and NW advances. Hopefully not, but while this may be the first instance of this happening, it may not be the last.

It looks like all tournament tickets will need to be purchased online. Sectional/district tickets will be $8. Codes to be able to get tickets will be provided from the school.

Holding pattern at this point. Not sure how you purchase online and ensure right people get access. I guess schools distribute tickets through first couple rounds.

I’d say they will do it like football. Each player is given a code and that code allows you to buy a certain number of tickets. My daughter is a cheerleader and her code allowed us to purchase two tickets.

According to google maps, it is 2 hr 41 min. from New Lexington HS to South Point HS. So basically its a 3 hour drive by bus and you have to allow at least 1 pit stop along the way. This may be the longest drive in the SE district for a sectional game ever.

Never a fan of driving for longer than you’ll be at the location, especially 2-3x as long

In Div II girls, you have Miami Trace going to Warren, Athens to Hillsboro, Sheridan to Marietta.
In Div II boys, you have Chesapeake at New Lexington, Hillsboro at Athens.
In Div III boys, you have Portsmouth at Belpre, Belpre at South Point.

There seems to be too much travel this year. I liked the old system better.
