run-n-gun: I agree with you----and perhaps Clay will bring their "A" game and make you work in the semifinal. The previous 2 matches had exactly the same scores and they were something like 8, 10 and 6.

It is the one area where I know the Lady Jeeps have an advantage----scheduling. Our coach did a great job of finding some non-league opponents and tournaments. Looking at the Plains 2 District in Division 3 and we played all 4 of those teams and went 6-0 doing so. Burg and Northwest were league opponents and Huntington and Nelsonville were at the Alexander Tourney on the 8th of October.

I know that your coach tried to schedule good non-league opponents too---I think some of them turned out a little weaker this year than most years and you can't help that. (Jackson for instance)

By the way, when you picked the 2 Eastern teams to win the district my first thought was "well of course you do!" If I had to pick I would disagree with 1 of your picks! :)

Yes, there is definitely a schedule advantage there. Hopefully Clay has changed some things and have improved to help better themselves for the rest of this season and all of next.

And I don't blame you for disagreeing. Hopefully when the teams meet on Saturday they all play great games and the teams moving on are both deserving. I think Eastern or Webster will represent our district well at the next level. Too bad it can't be both, because I would love to see 2 SOC schools competing for a spot at state!

Alex is up 8-6 in the 3rd and led 17-15 in the 2nd. From the sound of the radio guys Adena isn't playing their usual. The missed serves are surprising.

Do we give Alexander more credit for playing very well or take some credit from Adena for not being what we believe Adena to be.....or is this just how these teams would turn out most times?

We scrimmaged Zane Trace in the preseason....very athletic with a lot of potential. They played Eastern well in that scrimmage in a couple of the games.

Warren losing gives more creedence to my opinion that Waverly deserved that #1 seed. Now Waverly needs to go out and really prove that they got hosed.
