Southeast District Sectional Division 4?

Post by allaces1 »

Several coaches post scores on the ohsvca.org website so you can check league standings and overall records. Can anyone give the schedule and results for teams in the east sectional that dont post results on the ohsvca site? Those schools in red font DO POST all results and full schedules.

EAST Schools: Belpre, Eastern (Beaver), Eastern (Reedsville), Federal Hocking, Ironton St. Joseph, Miller, South Gallia, Southern (Racine), Symmes Valley, Trimble, Waterford. (11)

The draw is Sunday and would like to see where everyone stands as of today.

Not sure of all records, but the 2 Eastern schools will fight for the top seed, and Waterford will get the 3.

Do 2 SE teams make it to the regionals? If so the Eastern's will be jockeying for regional matchups or to avoid SW in the district finals.

Eastern Meigs has more league representation if that means anything....they might get their pick.

1) Reedsville Eastern
2) Beaver Eastern
3) Waterford
4) South Gallia

Might as well put the other sectional in Division 4 on here and discuss it on this thread as well:

Schools: Clay, Fairfield (Leesburg), Glenwood, Green, Manchester, Notre Dame, Sciotoville Community, South Webster, Western, Whiteoak. (10)

I look for South Webster to be the #1 seed and Notre Dame and Clay to be highly regarded as well-----don't know anything about Whiteoak this year----they were the #1 seed last year and South Webster swept them easily in 3 in the district semis as South Webster was the 4 seed in the east last year.......

Trimble and SG split this season, both matches going to five games each team winning on home court. Common opponent is Meigs. SG beat Meigs, but I havent found results for Trimble v. Meigs.

so basically, SG and Trimble will be 4th and 5th and it comes down to who plays on their home court in the Sectional Final.

One of these teams will move on to the District Semis at Jackson and probably play South Webster (if they are the #1 seed). South Webster and South Gallia have played each other in the last 2 years in the sectional finals as the 4 vs 5 matchup.

South Webster should be the 1 seed in the west. The west sectional is not as tough as the east. The east sectional was always loaded with Eastern Beaver, Eastern Reedsville, Waterford and South Webster. The change in division for Trimble, bumped South Webster to the west, probably where they should have been all along--them or Eastern Beaver.

Last year s.g. was blown out by south webster in the sectional. Two years a go webster played sg at sg and ended up winning in five after sg won the first two sets.

Whiteoak will have a good overall record at the seedings. They have defeated North Adams and Fairfield and have lost to Fairfield, Fayetteville, Greenfield......record will be 11-4ish

I think Whiteoak is 8-5 after losing to both Southeastern in 2 and Western in 3

South Webster is now 13-3 after defeating Wheelersburg tonight.

I really like our schedule these next 2 weeks leading into the tournament:

@ Wheelersburg
@ Waverly
@ Alexander Tourney vs Alexander and Nelsonville and possibly Huntington
Valley
Portsmouth West

With the exception of West all of these matches should be good tests and have us ready for the tournament.

Fairfield has beaten Whiteoak twice this year the second time in 3 fairly easily! Fairfield is leading the D2 standings in the SHL by one game over Fayetteville. They have 2 league losses to North Adams and Peebles.

South Webster moves to 14-3 after defeating previously undefeated Waverly in 5.

I am happy for the Southern program with its new coach to get a significant victory in the TVC-Hocking! Watch out Eagles for the Tornadoes they have their game spinning into the next F-level.
