It would be nice to keep track of SOC2! It is very doubtful the Local Paper will.......

South Webster over Northwest 25-14, 25-12, 25-16

Waverly over Wheelersburg 27-25, 25-21, 25-20

South Webster and Waverly start out 1-0

Any one with results from Valley?

South Webster 1-0
Waverly 1-0
Valley 1-0
Minford 0-1
Northwest 0-1
Wheelersburg 0-1

Oak Hill vs West from Tuesday? We play Oak Hill tonight so I will try and get that result.

Tonight:

Oak Hill @ South Webster
Waverly @ Minford
Northwest @ Valley
West @ Burg

Please give us scores! It might be the only way to know the league standings for most of us!

South Webster defeated Oak Hill tonight:

25-7, 25-12, 25-16

Oak Hill is very young and will get better as the season goes along.

Standings after 2 games:

South Webster 2-0
Valley 2-0
Waverly 2-0
Wheelersburg 1-1
Oak Hill 1-1
Northwest 0-2
Minford 0-2
Portsmouth West 0-2

Waverly has Oak Hill and West next week----should be 4-0

South Webster has Minford and Wheelersburg next week and then goes to the Unioto Tournament on Saturday.

Waverly and South Webster meet on Tuesday, September 13th for the first of 2 meetings this year---this is also Volley for the Cure Night........... should be a great night for volleyball.

Valley hosts South Webster on the 15th and Waverly on the 20th and could very well be undefeated in the league at that time as well.

If I had to pick the league standings now my crystal ball says:

South Webster
Waverly
Burg
Valley
Minford
Northwest
Oak Hill
West

Toss up on the Waverly at South Webster game on the 13th. Might give the edge to Webster at home but I have seen Waverly play twice and they are strong. Will be a good one to watch..

Tuesday, September 6th

South Webster @ Minford
Portsmouth West @ Waverly
Valley @ Burg
Northwest @ Oak Hill

I usually can find Waverly's result from wkkj.com and HITOPS has been good about posting Valley's results(thank you!)-----hopefully we can have someone let us know how Oak Hill and Northwest fare.

Valley @ Burg would be the biggest game of the night----Burg cannot afford to garner another league loss and be 2 behind this early.

Nothing has been decided yet, and it will be another 2 weeks before the top teams have all seen one another----but I would love to get some positive talk going on about these teams. If you have information or stats to pass along please do so!

Good Luck to all SOC teams this week!

Could we all urge our coaching staffs to maintain thier schedules and records on the "Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association" website? Last year most of the coaches maintained this throughout the year and I loved being able to check it out after a game or the next morning and see where everyone stood. This year it is not being used much, but maybe if we all ask our prospective coaches we can get this information posted in this one site for all to see.

Webster got off track in third game and was behind early but rallied for the win.

Valley went down to defeat at Burg won first lost 2,3,4 all games were close ..but valley could not get over the 4 point hump ....get down 4 tie it up get down 2 tie it up get down 4 .....but the girls played hard...and that will serve them well later in the season i think

PDT 23-25 25-18 25-19? 25-21 no stats in paper for valley

but wolford, dillow and shelton lead the kills dept and c. coriell had the assists
i will try to collect some team stats if possible for the season because if the game is away sometimes the visting coach doesnt have time to call in to PDT

Bluedude, the Webster coach changed a few things in game three, but there really was never a challenge from Minford in game three....
