What is the best game anyone has seen or been involved with?

I have played in a no-hitter and have umpired a no-hitter with the team that had no hits winning 1-0.

I seen Mike Voorheis from Valley in 1989 strike out 19 of 21 possible hitters in a sectional chamionship game.

Two Zane Trace games:

District Final (2002)
ZT defeats Portsmouth West 5-2 on a walk-off, bottom of the seventh, 3-2 count grand slam.

District Final (2007)
ZT defeats Wheelersburg 1-0 in eight innings in a pressure packed game.

Salemcat I probably seen that game also. The no-hitter I played in was in 1991 Danny Bradshaw no-hit Rock Hill. The no-hitter I umpired was when Jackson defeated Thornville Sheridan when Humphries (Kent State) stole home in the bottom of the 7th to win the game. The pitcher for Thornville was Barrera (Ohio State).

I also played in a game where Mike Crotty struck out 21 in a sectional game in 1992. There was one put out at first base. The catcher dropped one of the strikeouts and the runner reached base.

i watched a traveling team from a few years back in a tournament game that was started at 1am.....by the last inning the score was tied and it was a little after 3am. runner on 2nd, a fly ball hit to center field and the fog had rolled in, the center fielder couldent find the ball, the run scored from 2nd to end the game. they didnt find the baseball in the outfield untill the next morning.

Corey White (otterbein) pticher and buddy Tyler Penwell ( Marietta) Hitter.
Ball was gone off the bat. Very intense and emotional game.
Both HC were room mates in College at Rio Grande.

2003 Minford @ Waverly SOCII Championship

Minford led Waverly by one game in the league with two games to play. Minford led 8-4 in the bottom of the seventh with 2 outs. Waverly comes back to tie it and then hits a walk-off in the bottom of the 9th to win it.

Waverly end up winning the league outright..

Wheelersburg defeats Indian Valley 2-1 in 8 innings at VA memorial stadium. Pitching duel and a classic indeed.

Regional Finals (2008)
Wheelersburg defeats Adena 4-3 at VA memorial stadium to advance to the state tournament. Awesome atmosphere and the crowd was electric.

District Final (2007)
ZT defeats Wheelersburg 1-0 in 8 innings at Jackson.

Probably the biggest crowd in the VA history other than Paints fireworks nights.

1) 2008 2nd game of the American Legion District Tournament @ Miami Trace High School. AdamWamsley faced 21 batter an had 19 Strike an setting a New District Record for Strick outs.

2) 2008 Semi Final game @ Paint Stadium against Post 757, to move on an Championship game, Justin Montgomery went 6 2/3rds with 9 strickouts an giving up 2 runs on 3 hits an Wamsley came in an closed the deal. Post 23 won 8-2. Post 757 beat Post 23 in the 1st round 10-2( I think was the score) to put them in the losers bracket.

best game i ever played in was Wellston @ South Point (2007) sectional final

Wellston jumped on top 2-0 and had all the momentum leaving runners stranded in every inning. At the time Sophomore Jake Seagraves hit a solo shot to open up the 5th inning. Game was 2-2 in the bottom of the 6th and there were two outs. South Point's lead off man and fastest player Chris Brown was on 3rd and 3-hitter Anthony Ross was up and had 2 strikes, coach calls a suicide squeeze( the only bunt Ross got down in his life) the ball rolled to the SS a perfect bunt to put SP up 3-2. Trent Moore then came out in the 7th and struck out the side to finish the game.

Best game i've seen was Zane Trace vs Heath @ VA- Regional Final (i think) (2007)
The crowds for both sides absolutely amazed me, Heath's students standing down the right field line the entire game while ZT's students sat right behind the plate and chanted the entire game. IMO ZT should have won that game. But Heath did and if i'm not mistaken played for the State Title if not won it.

Heath won it all.
ZT outhit them 8-3 and lost that regional final 4-3.
The Pioneers had all three errors in one inning as Heath scored all of their runs.

yeah i remember the errors ... i remember the catcher throwin the ball past the pitcher on a simple throw after a pitch and it rolling past the centerfielder, proved pretty costly ... ZT's pitcher pitched very well in that game though, did he play college ball?
