SOC I Standing thus far 2009

Post by Eagle12 »

Eastern Pike: 1-2 - loss to Paint Valley and split with Whiteoak. This through 4/4.

How are other teams fairing in the SOC I??

Green is 1-1 and 1-0 in the league. Lost to Chesapeake 3-1 to open the season. Beat Clay 7-5 in our only other game. We were supposed to play 6 games this week, but will most likely play 3 maybe 4. Big week with Notre Dame and Symmes Valley on back to back days if the weather cooperates.

Eastern is (0-1) in SOC I. They have lost four league games to rainouts. Lost opener to East 4/1; Notre Dame 4/3; Western 4/6; and Clay is a suspended game on 4/10 with Eastern leading 4-0 after one inning.

Eastern goes to Green on 4/13, then have a make-up game with Western on 4/14.
Notre Dame game that was rained out has been rescheduled for May 4th. East and Clay games to rescheduled are TBA.

Eastern is 2-4 overall.

Every one in the SOC 1 should watch out for eastern this year. they might be 2-4 but it is still early and there is still lots of room for improvement. There hitting hasent been key for run support. But it is starting to come alive. They have made a few errors but the # of errors will come down as the season goes on and they improve. all i have to say to the players and coaches at Eastern is just hang in there and stay with it it will come.

Clay isnt doing well at all, and they cant even find a batting order. Puckett has been the 3 hitter all year and now he will leadoff

Glad 2 see that the coach has changed the batting order. The games that I have seen it seems like the top hitters have been Puckett, Garrett, and Burchett. What's your thoughts?
