I do not know anything about Federal Hocking. However, knowing that Wheelersburg is always tough especially this time of year. No disrespect to Federal Hocking but I see Wheelersburg winning 5-1.

Not knowing anything about Federal Hocking here is the only thing I can go by.

W'Burg beat Unioto in a scrimmage 7-2 and regular season 17-1 at Unioto. Last meeting was in 2008 where W'Burg won both DH games by a combined score of 30-4 and in 2007 won 13-10 and 10-0. In comparison with the unioto matchups, wheelersburg should win this ball game.

Of course, this is baseball and anything can happen, but I don't see it.

Wheelersburg advances to their 4th straight district final in Athens.

Zane Trace played both teams this year.
Split in a DH with Federal Hocking and they lost to Wheelersburg 6-5.
Federal Hocking is capable in this game. They play good defense. Thompson is a good pitcher.
It will come down to how well Fed Hock hits the ball.
Wheelersburg is really solid at the top of the line-up. Not sure who they will pitch though with a possible clash with Adena on the horizon.

Look for the Pirates bold to take the game against the Lancers at Dennis Hegarty Field in McDermott, OH.

In years past I'd give the Lancers a shot, but with the year they've had I'd have to go with Wheelersburg maybe in 5 innings.

It all comes down to the BATS for the Lancers.
The rest is there.
Go Lancers

FH has been on the bad end of some upsets in the recent past. I mean, when you are 23-4 and lose in the tournament to a team with a losing record, from your conference, something went wrong. This would not be as big of an upset as that one.

FH will have to be strong in all aspects of the game. They can't have the multiple base-running and mental defensive mistakes that they had against Unioto. When they get on base, they cannot afford to run themselves out of the scoring opportunity.

FH is 14-11 right now. They started the season 3-8. They have also had 8 games decided in walk-off fashion, and only two of them went FH's way. For them, there is a fine line between being 12-13 and 20-5.

Also, comparing scores is not good for FH at all. You can match them up with the worst team in Ohio, and if the other team's pitcher threw strikes, FH would win 10-0. They aren't scoring lots of runs. So, then they play even a solid team and win, they will win close.

Late season FH stays in this game and could possibly win. Early season FH gets destroyed. I hope we see the late season team.
