Can anyone give an update on the the injured player for McArthur?

He is fine, he was in attendance today, however he is taking the week off. He was diagnose with a concussion we will have to monitor his headaches. Thank you for asking.

What happened?

He was catching and tried to field a pop-up from behind the plate, losing it in the sun, the ball hit him between the eyes. It had knocked him out and caused a cut on his brow and a concussion.

Ouch!

The worst injuries that I have seen in sports have been in baseball.

Post 303 has completed it season and it has been an extremely enjoyable one. Despite our record, 6-17, and unlike years past where apathy reigned, the kids were fun, energetic, and willing to compete every game. I really feel that this could be the transitioning season we have been waiting for and maybe no longer becoming an easy win.

We will be doing some things different this coming season. I will attend the District meeting in October, there we will schedule district games for the upcoming season. Once that meeting is complete, I will hold an organizational meeting in November for ALL interested parties to attend. That will include those wishing to coach, sponsor, or whatever, hopefully get the support of the local coaches also. I have spoken to two of the area's high school coaches and they support our efforts, now it is time to see if they are willing to provide just a little more. This program has completed its sixth season; it is time to take this program to the next level and I cannot and will not do it by myself.
