Fisher won again 11-7 against Grandview to go 15-7 on the season with its last game before the tournament on friday aginst Worthington Christian....and earned the no.1 seed in the central district....with a bye in the first round....and will play next wednesday,,,,not sure who they play the winner of....so if someone knows please post....Donson picked up win numer 9 to go 9-0 on the season with the one save....He overcame some first inning control problems which he walked 3 in the first inning to record his 7th straight complete game....gave up 5 hits and walk 3 and struck out 12....giving him 78 ko's in 51 innings pitched...and only 13 walks all season....GREAT JOB ''DANGEROUS'' PROUD OF YOU..... :-D :!:

I was very impressed with Donson. His fastball was clocked 76-80 and his curve and changeup would drop down to 55-65. He has a great curve with good location and a very good stright change. He really pitched well in the middle innings 2-6. The defense committed 4 errors leading to unearned runs. Very good control and well composed. Good luck in the future.

Fisher plays the winner of Gahanna Christian 5-6 and Wellington winner next Wednesday 12th at home

Side note Allan Anderson former Minnesota Twins pitcher and AL ERA leader was behind the plate umpiring.

Somebody else posted this on JJhuddle I just copied and pasted. This is in Central Ohio all division leaders. Add 1 more win and 12 strikeout to Dearth's total.

-Ulrey's HR and RBI totals for Highland are pretty darn impressive

-Still a gap to see O'Neill/Liberty with 9 HRs, batting .576 and not even on RBI leader radar. Must still be lead off hitter. If so, Liberty is leaving more runs on the table

-Dearth/Fisher Catholic (8-0) is one of the true pitchers in the area - excellent location, change of speeds and poise

-DeSales is one of top area DII teams - interesting to see they don't have anyone in top batting average leader board. must get some very timely hitting and have a few guys sniffing .400

They had a great article about Donson in the Lancaster paper......HERE IT IS............'' Dearth gets it done as the Irsh Ace.......Fisher Catholic's senior ace wants to play college baseball, but first thing first.....Donson....''Its important to me to be able to play at a place thats right for me,but right now my main concern is this years team...I'm confident things will fall into place where they should.....He's gotten better every year Irish coach John Joyce said.....He's the ultimate pitcher,I think he gets better as the game goes on.If you don't get him early then you probably not going to get him.He doesn't overwhelm you with his size and doesn't throw 90 MPH....He's just a pitcher who has command of all his pitches. He could be a diamond is the rough...Donson is 9-0 with 1 save...He has a 1.37 era and oppents are hitting just .168 aginst him.His strikeout to walk ratio is better than 5 to 1....Donson goes after win no. 10 tonite at Worthington Christian....GOOD LUCK......DANGEROUS. :-D

Fisher Catholics season came to end last night at the hands of Newark Cathollic by a 9-3 score...Jumping out to a 5 run first inning.....all unearned....Fisher just couldn't solve Newark Catholic's pitcher...who had no hit them thru 4 innings....although Donson kept them at bay and only gave up 2 more runs in the 6 innings pitched....Newark Catholic made him work and took him to long counts....Donson ended up throwing over 130 pitches....striking out 9 to move him over 100 for the season....and also became the career stikeout leader for the Irish....Donson also was named Central District Player of Year,,,,and will play in all-star game to be held at Paint Stadium in Chilli.....with all the districts player of year there....Great Season ''DANGEROUS'' and good luck in Legion this summer..... :-D :!:

All MSL Cardinal teams are now elimnated with Fisher and Liberty Union being the last to go. Liberty Union lost in heartbreaking fashion to the #2 overall seed Marion Pleasant last night at Hilliard Davidson....final score 2-1. Here is the link to the newspaper article on the game:
