Lucasville Valley @ Piketon

Post by ou22 »

this should be one exciting double header as two teams that made a deep tourny run last year square off! what are some thoughts and predictions for this weekends opener?

Piketon wins first game 1-0 in 8, lead off walk in the inning runner gets to 3rd and have a runner on first, runner on 1st steals and pitcher balks scoring game winning run. Valley fans freak out, fat guy tries to climb into the stands in front of woman and children and attacks a Piketon fan and gets dropped like a bad habit, then another valley fan trys to take up for him and runs into the stands and gets dropped also, totally out of control behavior. farmer no hits for 5 innings then is sat down. Then they played another game after the police arrive and people were escorted off school grounds, valley wins the 2nd game 5-1. Very eventfull but discracefull behavior.

Unfortunate turn of events in the post game activity. Actually Farmer threw 6 innings and was pulled after staff decided 89 pitches was enough. Brice Bennett relieved Farmer to Throw 2 more innings and combine with Farmer for a No Hitter. Piketon wins on a Balk in a first and third situation. Second Game Valley scored 5 runs to defeat the Streaks 5-1. Inside the fense, Which is what matters two very good teams went head to head. Dean Schuler is one of the best coaches and men I can honestly say I have been involved with. Nice win for the streaks.

Crazy, let's clear up a couple of points. Valley fans didn't "freak out" at the end. They were very disappointed that such a great game ended on a balk call. A piketon fan had been bad mouthing our kids the entire game on our side of the field. Now as far as getting "dropped", I guess if you call sucker punching someone dropping then you are right. Why can't you just cheer for your team (on your side) & lighten up on the bad mouthing of the other kids especially in front of there parents & grandparents. Very sad that some people can't just go watch a game & cheer for your team without running your mouth about the other teams kids for 7 inning. Now it wasn't all Piketon fans acting this way, just one rather large hoho eating fans that couldn't keep his trap shut about our kids. Sad situation all the way around!

No Bocephus the guy didnt get sucker punched the reason i say that is because when the fat guy took up the stands to start a fight he should have expected the guy wasnt going to just let him get ahold of him unless the guy is just a complete moron, oh wait he started a fight at a high school baseball game yep complete moron. And second no he wasnt bad mouthing Valleys team or valleys kids he yelled at the ump on some calls and stood up and was clapping because Piketon won the game. I wasnt 10 feet away heard and saw everything, you can say what you want but it wasnt a Piketon fan who started this and the fat guy should have just ate his hoho and sat down. I would say pretty much that it was a freak out and in all honesty Valley should bar this guy and the other guy who ran up the stands from all sporting events'! now its cleared up.

Anyone who would fight in the stands at a high school sporting event needs banned. I don't care which side they were on, its not about the parents or fans in the stands, the game is for the kids. If you can't respect that, don't come to the game. All involved are a disgrace to high school athletics.

Since we were both about 10 feet away I guess we just heard and saw things differently. I certainly don't agree with this thing reaching a point where throwing punches is the only answer. And I don't agree with going up into the stands for any reason. But comments were being said about the valley team and players anytime something went Piketon's way I guess you just decided not to pay attention to them. Which is what I wish everyone would have done. I'll let the police and schools decide who was right and who was wrong. Anyway....great games on the field, a good old fashion pitchers duel in the first game with some outstanding defense played by both teams. Sorry either team had to lose that one, but hats off to both teams for the way they played the game yesterday.

I believe that this proves that you do not know what you are talking about! The second person tackled the puncher in the stands and kept him down until everything was cooled down. The second person in the stands has my respect for stopping the problem dead in its tracks. I agree that this was terrible behavior, but only one person through a punch and only one person had the intent of fighting and took it to the next level. Considering the person who was punched said "this is about the kids on the field and that comments about the kids should not be made" and then Osborne made his comments that escalated the situation, I don’t think your portrayal of what happened is accurate and that you have a relationship with the person who committed assault and battery and then fled the scene of the crime when he knew the police were coming and that there were a lot of witnesses.

hmm funny the 2nd guy ended up on his back in between the stands with the person who got attacked from Piketon on top of him telling him to cool down and the first basemans father of valley up there trying to keep the situation from getting worse and keep any more valley fans from going up there. There was no intent from the Piketon fan of fighting he was cheering the victory and when it was said this is about the kids he said i agree with you but the valley fan would not stop and proceeded to charge into the stands climbing the side pushing a kid out of the way, you can sugar coat it all you want and try to make yourselfs look like the victims and I talked to the police and told them what I saw and told them if they needed a statement I was more than happy to give one that the piketon fan WAS attacked and defended himself and if they want to go that route im sure assault charges can be filed against the aggressors which were the 2 morons from valley. the piketon fan was asked to leave by the school so it wouldnt elevate the situation anymore.

Would you mind using a couple more periods and commas so we can understand what you're trying to say?
