Did Gallipolis-Meigs boys and girls get their baseball and-softball games in this evening (Monday). Thanks.

Apparenty not. Heard on WJEH Radio this morning that WJEH was going to broadcast GAHS home baseball games. Had radio on this evening and didn't hear a ball game.

They played. It was on 93.1. Devils won baseball game 10-5.

Yeah we played. One bad inning of misjudged routine fly balls and 3 ground errors ended up being a huge help to the loss, but not only that, the lack of hits. We were set up early with getting walked so many times the first couple of innings, we became relaxed and didn't swing the bat expecting walks...Left runners stranded on all 3 bases in back to back innings that didn't help either.

Gallipolis wasn't really a team we wanted to face in an opener, they are a very well hitting team, if the ball is close to the plate, they are swinging and up there for hits. The only thing I see hurting Gallia is their lack of depth in Pitching. Especially when they go on 4 or 5 games a week runs.

Overall, Meigs is a very young team The starters are 2 Seniors, 5 Sophomores and 2 Freshmen...So each game is experience and they will only get better.
