Warren vs Athens 3/31

Post by Cap'n Scoop »

Looks like this could be a really good opener. Nothing like jumping right into league play. Athens should be much improved and Warren has some big shoes to fill. The Warriors will probably start Wagner on the hill and possibly bring Ward in later. Who will Athens start...Eberts? He is a very solid pitcher. Can't wait to get things going.

Eberts will probably start for Athens. He started last year in the opener and he started in the scrimage vs. New Lexington. It should be a very good game to start the season.

The radar doesn't look good, will they make this up on Wednesday if it gets cancelled?

Cancelled on the threat of rain. Gas prices have a lot to do with this one. It may become an epidemic.

Not sure who made the decision but Warren had an intra-squad scrimmage. The Jr. high girls also played so I think they could have got this one in.

I'm on marietta jv and we had to play at logan yesterday and that field was pretty bad. played the whole game (well 6 innings since we were up 17-4) there was standing water in the outfield and parts of the infield. plus the area around second base was a swamp. proved to be an interesting game
