Bumgardner would be an excellent hire for Piketon. This guys time is more than over-due.

Anyword on why Childers left?

Coach Childers was not a teacher in the district and had received another career opportunity to where he would be unable to make the commitment to be there full-time. From what I have heard he will staying on as a volunteer assistant...

yes childers will do some volunteering, but not much because with his new kid and new job he will have little time to help out.

Coach Childers works at the Chillicothe Gazette now, no radio stuff.

From what he has said to me, he will be there to volunteer as much as possible.

I also heard there is a teacher in the district that is interested in the job.

Bumgardner - great guy but has no chance

Blackburn - don't know him, what is his background

Norman - don't know him but sounds like he has some credential

No inside people?

Like I said great guy but he will never get a shot at anything at Piketon.

I don't agree with it, just the way the machine works.

Bruce Blackburn actually played professional baseball in the majors and minors off and on for the Pirates, he was a sensational catcher.

I am not trying to start anything, just curious as to where you got his information that he played for the Pirates?

I cannot find anything on him in their history.

I know that he was involved in an adult baseball league a few years back in Scioto county.
