Congratulations Jackson. What a job this spring. From last to first. Tyrus Coyan, in my book, should be the league's "Player of the Year."

How many times did Jackson bounce back from deficits this year to win? I know of three--7-6 over Gallipolis, 12-10 over Portsmouth and now 9-7 over Zanesville (20-2), an outstanding ball club, for the 2008 crown.

Warren swept a double header from Federal Hocking Saturday. Winning 12-11 and 6-3. They had a 10-2 lead in game one and let Fed Hock back in it with fielding errors. The Lancers never quit though and kept battling. David Lemon and Zach Heath pitched game 1, with Josh Ward and Justin Pettit pitching in game 2. Top hitters for Warren were Tyler Spence (5 Hits), Lemon (4), Cory Hooper (3) and Zach Heath (3)

Warren finished the regular season with an 18-7 record. Goodluck in the post season guys.

ZHS 4, Watkins Memorial 3

No. 5 seed ZHS (25-3) vs. No. 2 seed Hilliard Darby (24-4) at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, at Dublin Jerome HS, for a District championship.

Read the game story here: http://www.zanesvilletimesrecorder.com/ ... GECAROUSEL

You might have to paste that in your browser, or go to http://www.zanesvilletimesrecorder.com and link to it from there.

Really proud of these kids. No stars, just hard-working guys who don't give in.
