I do like Fed Hock's chances as well as Eastern's but as for title to lose it's the Tornadoes' for now & will be until the first pitch is thrown, then it's all up for grabs!!!

I see what you are saying, it should always be the defending champs to lose. And Chapman will probably prove he was a better #2 pitcher than an Ace.

Johnson was a great pitcher, who will be very hard to replace. But as far as Chapman goes, he pitched in some very big games last year and did very well. He would have been the ace on most teams last year. I do not worry about him been our ace at all. What I worry about is what players are going to step up and be our number 2,3 and 4 pitchers. If we can get a couple players to pitch well and help Chapman , I think Southern will have a great year. They should be a very good hitting team. Good luck Southern!

At Southern or Logan Elm? Either way, that's quite a trip for a scrimmage. By the way, the Braves (LE) have been way down the last couple years...not sure about this years club but based on the varsity and jv teams from last year, this year might not be a good one for LE.

The scrimmage is still in question though... southern field isnt fully ready yet... the extra dirt and crushed brick hasnt been put in place yet because the field has been sooooo soggy... i couldnt imagine what it would have been like with out the grass infield... They also scrmmage portsmoth east on Saturday, but again not sure where at...
