I think that Coal Grove is 3-0 in the ovc. I don't know about the overall record.

so with south point beating coal grove last night that puts a 3 way tie for first am i right? with Fairland, South Point and Coal Grove each having one loss. South Point finishes up their first wave of conference games tonight at chessy which in all honesty should be a win but you never know but they are losing the rock hill game that was unfinished. Sounds like the 2nd half could get very interesting.

In a non-league outing at Proctorville this evening, Fairland "walked" over Gallipolis, 12-2 in five innings.

Dragons scored eight runs as three GAHS hurlers issued a slew of walks. When game ended in 5th, the Gallians had failed to get an out.

Fairland improved to 8-1 overall. GAHS dropped to 5-5.

Are we seeing a pattern, Rock Hill pictchers at Fairland issued a lot of walks and Gallipolis pictchers issue a lot of walks. Maybe just a coincidence or maybe not.

first off,the pitchers were all over the plate in both games terribly.secondly, fairland has a dangerous team when clicking on all cylinders and the opposing teams are aware of this which can create excessive caution and ,in turn, not being able to throw consistantly.

ROCK HILL 17 RIVER VALLEY 2 (in 5 innings)

Malone gets the win... Mitch Davenport the save... Nate Davenport hit a Grand Slam to top off a 10 run first inning... few walks... the Redmen are scorching the ball.

I doubt there was a SAVE in a 17-2 game decided in 5 innings.
