Thanks for the updates. I can't get 1260 here in Ashland. Heck, I can't get 1260 in Wheelersburg except as a fuzzy, half-the-time type station.

Wheelersburg still up 1-0 going into the top of the 4th. In the 3rd inning IV got the first two runners on with singles and then the Burg turned a 6-4-3 double play and Russell got a pop out to end the threat. The Burg got a base hit by Lyon to start the bottom of the 3rd and Wamsley bunted him to 2nd, but two strikeouts by Hopper and White ended the inning.

Russell got out of another jam in the top of the 4th. IV got two runners on and had them at the corners with two and a long fly ball to center went to the die in the glove of Dustin Cook.

Wheelersburg in the bottom of the 4th goes down 1,2,3. They need to get those bats going. IV has out hit the Burg 6-3 through 4 innings, but the Pirates have the advantage on the board at 1-0.

I am having to use dial-up because the DSL here at work is down. It comes and goes at the best. Besides, I am tying up the fax line to use this.

It is nice to connect between appoints and get the score so I do appreciate it. :)

Russell gave up a solid double to the IV pitcher, but he once again got out of the inning by striking out the next two batters. He is pitching an excellent game and the defense is superb, now they need the bats to wake up and get another run or two across the plate.

Still 1-0 Burg.

GO BURG!!!!!

Bottom of the 5th, Russell goes down swinging on three pitches for out number one, Elliot pops out to right field for out number two, Lyon strikes out to end the inning and the Pirates go down 1,2,3 again. Both pitchers are throwing excellent games which is what you would expect out of the #1's for both teams in the regional semis. Burg defense needs to stay solid if they want to pull out this victory.

IV leadoff batter hits one to the gap, but it was cut off by Hopper and the relay by Wamsley cut him down at third for the first out. Huge defensive play by the Pirates.

Hall walks for IV. Runner on 1st with 1 out. Hit to the SS, on to 2nd for the force and not in time for the DP. Two down and runner on first base.

Pinch hitter for IV. Walks him and now runners on 1st and 2nd with two outs.

Slow, high chopper to Wamsley and he makes a heck of a play to get the out.

Burg defense is lights out in this game!!!

Wamsley gets a 1 out single. I didn't catch who made the out.

Hopper goes down on strikes for out number two.

White grounds out to 2nd to end the inning.

End of 6 innings. Burg just needs three outs to move on to the regional finals against Adena.

IV brings up their 2,3,4 hitters to the plate.

Base hit for the leadoff hitter.

Gosser hits a shot to center field and Miser scores to tie it up and the go ahead run is at 2nd with no outs.

Runner bunted to 3rd for the go ahead run.

Wamsley comes back and gets two strike outs to keep it at 1-1 going into the bottom of the 7th.

Spencer Hall leads off the bottom of the 7th inning. Hit to 2nd and the throw to 1st for out number 1.

Dustin Cook up. Strikes out.

Kyle Blevings up. Kyle walks, winning run on first.

Nick Kemper at the plate. Blevings steals 2nd base. Called out on strikes.

On to the top of the 8th.
