Burg should be solid at the other spring sports. Softball returns alot of talent and should do well in the league and post season. Track returns many solid runners in both the boys and girls events. I believe all 4 runners of the school record setting 4x200 squad are returning.

Should be an exciting spring sports season at Burg.

Last years Burg spring sports teams all went undefeated in the SOC. This years teams may not accomplish that feat, but they will all be very competitive and I'm sure they will be right at the top of thier respective sports.

How did the Varsity Baseball team look in their scrimmages so far? Season starts next week, but what is the rest of the schedule for scrimmages?

Burgs 1st scrimmage against Unioto went pretty well. Burg came out on top as Unioto struggled a little in the pitching department and made a few fielding mistakes. Not sure of the score.

Highly impressed with the Burg offense. 16 players went with the varsity squad and all 16 hit the ball well. Several had multiple hits and several hard opposite field hits on the evening which is always plus.

Burg basically fielded the same starting lineup as they had last season with the exception being Elliott playing 2B.

One the mound Russell went 2, Wamsley went 2, Elliott 2 and Hopper 1. All threw strikes and turned in solid innings.

Burg scrimmages Chillicothe tonight at Burg 5pm, Jackson tomorrow at Burg 5pm (probably a rain out) and Clyde, OH at Burg on Saturday 3pm.
