According to today's Gallipolis Tribune game report of last night's GAHS 3-1 win, Nick Stevens tossed a one-hitter and the Cavs Aaron Dixon allowed only four hits in losing cause. GAHS had one error and CHS three, two in the fatal sixth inning.

Also, the Tribune said GAHS was to travel to Ironton this evening for a makeup game with the Tigers. The softball team was also play at IHS this evening in a makeup game, but a light day-long rain will probably postpone those games.

The score of the Athens/Logan game on Apr. 2 was 7-6. It's listed up there a couple times and on other threads as 8-7. Not a big deal...just letting u know

Chillicothe at Jackson, both baseball and softball which were scheduled to be made up on Thursday, April 3, were postponed again. No official makeup date yet.

Logan and Fairfield Union were supposed to play tonight (varsity baseball and softball AT Logan...jv baseball and softball AT Fairfield Union).....but Logan called FU at the last minute and decided they were cancelling the varsity contests and were not sending their jv teams to FU. Their reasoning was that they were afraid it was going to rain! Since when are games cancelled on account of a CHANCE of rain? FU practiced on their diamond until 5:30 this evening and could have continued for another hour or more. The games could have and should have easily been played.
