Gallia Academy’s Junior Varsity baseball rallied from a 3-0 deficit to edge Portsmouth, 4-3, on Memorial Field Wednesday evening.

Gallipolis scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth, then winning pitcher Tyler Eastman, who went the distance, stopped the Trojan Jayvees in the seventh to preserve the victory.

Didn’t take notes, but I think it was Cory Eberhard’s two-run double that drove in the winning runs.

Gallipolis improved to 3-1 on the year. Portsmouth dropped to 2-2 overall.

Thursday, the GAHS JVs will host Ironton in a makeup game and Friday, will travel to Ironton for a regular season game.
