When will the sectional seedings be announced? In reading some of the scores in the posts below I noticed a couple games where teams scored 30+ runs.Does HS baseball have a mercy rule? Whats really scary is, they put those 30+ up in a 7 inning game? They dont play 9 anymore right??

whats even more scary,,yes there is a mercy rule...10 after 5 innings, so the 30 runs was scored in less then 5 innings.

It was 15 runs after 4 for at least one season in the 90's, I know that.

That team you talk of is the Wheelersburg Pirates and they put up 31 in back to back game and also put up 26 in a game earlier in the year. All of those were 5 inning games. They have scored 179 runs in 11 games and mercy ruled 9 out 11 opponents.

Does The Burg have an off season regime for baseball , I know it can't be school sponsored . It seems they must be hitting year round.

Not that I know of, and if they did, most of the kids on the baseball team are involved in other sports like football, basketball, soccer, etc.. and they wouldn't have time to hit much in the offseason anyways. That's how good they are..
