Wheelersburg vs West round 2

Post by burggrad82 »

I look for Dustin to throw tomorrow in a big SOC game. Any predictions?

I agree it will most likely be Cook vs Bricker tonight with Elliott in relief if needed. Both should keep the game close going into the late innings. Key will be getting a base runner or two into position and manufacturing a couple runs early. Still waiting on the Burg bats to come alive again. It is just a matter of time.

Hopefully the rain holds off and we get this one in.

I don't know. He's normally really good about calling me and giving me the updates and usually somebody has posted the score by now. The same thing happened when they played Waverly. No one posted the score until really late and I thought for sure they might have lost and no one wanted to post it.

I think the Burg mercy ruled them 12-0, at West.

Burg won the game 10-0 in 5. Spencer Hall had a homer for the only longball by the Burg. Cook got the complete game shutout.

Didn't make the game but I heard a couple of the kids in the 5th inning got in for their mandatory 3 outs in the field.

sounds like Burg is slipping alittle or are the teams trying their best to give Burg a game? Portsmouth, Waverly (I know they are good) and others are keeping Burg in check as best they can. I hope this is good competition for Burg as they gear for the tournaments. I know the season isnt over but you can lose focus when you are dominating local talent and then get overwhelmed by stronger teams.

GO BURG!

Slipping a little? Because they're not winning by 30 runs?
