Host Pt. Pleasant scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat visiting Gallipolis 6-2 in a non-league battle Wednesday evening.
Gallipolis, which had its six-game winning streak snapped, fell to 11-7 overall. PPHS improved to 13-11 on the year.

Wellston 5, Vinton County 1
Although it looked bad, hope Vinton County's Andy Grillo's ankle is not too seriously injured. He was injured running to first base on a hit in the last inning and had to be helped off the field.
Good win for Wellston.

Chapman pitched a complete game to pick up the win and Riffle hit a 3 run HR and Marnhout hit a 2 run HR... everyone played well tonight with timely hitting and good coaching... Big win for Southern

Adam Wamsley pitched a no hitter and the Burg pounded out 14 hits. Wamsley was 2-4, with an RBI and a double at the plate as well. Aaron Hopper was 2-3, RBI, Bryan White was 1-4, HR, 3 RBI, Spencer Hall was 2-2 with a double, Daniel Armstrong was 1-1 with a triple, and Andrew Elliot was 2-2, 2R, 2 RBI.
