i heard they have two junk baller pitchers...minford will have to be patient at the plate and hit the gaps in order to win this one...come out ready to play and have the mindset to play every inning like its the last one they will ever be in together as this team....

One of Unioto's top returners was injured during preseason and had knee surgery, so he is out. He was one of their better pitchers, their other top pitcher, was injured while chasing a ball against Zane Trace and has been out like the last 15 games.

The freshman, Rose, has thrown well lately, but so has Kimsey(the 6'9 kid). Could see either one.

They play a ridiculous non-league schedule, but were able to get a W over Waverly in the past couple weeks. They've had a good number of games this season that they were leading going into the final 2 innings and it has slipped away, so if I were Minford, I wouldn't take them lightly. But, I'll take Minford in this one, assuming Farmer gets the call, if he doesn't, it could be a dandy.

I would compare Unioto to Lucasville Valley in regards to being prepared and being fundamentally sound. Unioto's record is deceiving based on who they have played, so Minford better be ready.

Honesty is right....Minford better play every inning like it is their last or it very well could be. I look for the Falcons to be ready and to have their heads right though.

I agree. Minford can not assume anything. Each pitch has to be treated like the last.

Don't look at the records in this one. Unioto plays a tough schedule. 6 of those losses are to Adena, ZT and Circleville.

watching the shermans this year they have had some bright spots. but it also hurt them alot losing bouillion and cottrell. both very good athletes. watch out in this one minford. it could be a dandy

Team just left the high school an hour early to make the trip. Making there way up to Athens.

Nice to see that the Minford administration supports the baseball team as well as the other sports. I know the Burg administration has an issue with letting the baseball team out early. They arrived at Athens yesterday at about 4:45pm for a 5pm game. It seems to me that the football and basketball teams are exempt from this rule.

That just shows you that Coach Martin has alot of pull. Baseball will always be second fiddle to Football and Basketball at the Burg.

Unioto got an early lead and Farmer had to be brought in, in the 3rd inning.

Unioto was leading 5-0 after 5, but Minford took a 7-5 lead going into the 7th and I haven't heard anymore updates.

You gotta win Thursday, before you can win Saturday.
