Ironton Senior league

Post by pleasanttiger »

Does anyone know who is going to coach this group? I've heard 2 or three names thrown out but not even those people can say if they are going to be the manager.

Chuck Price is the coach and the season starts Monday at Ironton against Symmes Valley. The Tigers have looked pretty good in practice this week. Pitching should be a strength.

Lucasville was added to the schedule and then dropped due to some miscommunication.

Don't know about any stick or the short end of it but i did hear they are not on the regular season schedule. They didn't come to any meetings and decided, after the schedule was made, to put a team together with players from valley, burg, and ports.

The Tigers were supposed to play thurs but chesepeake informed us at 5:35 pm that they didn't have enough to play. Makes the Tigers 4-0. play a DH against fairland today, weather permitting .

GO TIGERS!!!

The Tigers picked up a pair of wins saturday over fairland,10-2 i think ,and 9-3,to go to 6-0. The Tigers were missing 5 kids due to football camps and basketball camps. They play south point tonight at Ironton at 6-weather permitting.

GO TIGERS!!!

I wouldn't exactly say that Lucasville got the short end of any sticks either. If someone wanted to play in the Senior League division, they should have contacted someone before 6/1 which is the traditional start date. Waiting until after the tournament was drawn on 6/8 is a bit too late in my opinion. I hate to see any kids miss out on an opportunity to play but at some point the adults need to take the proper steps.

The Tigers improved to 9-0 with a 3-0 win over the vikings. The bats wern't working very well by strong pitching by Josh Pancake and Wayne Sparks made the three runs enough.
