Russell with the start and the offense starting to come alive opinions? This is the third time in three years Jordan has pitched for the District Title he's 1-1.

Good luck to Huntington. Too bad Magill won't be on the mound; Wheelersburg is one tough opponent!!

Is it true that Huntington's coach will be watching from the stands?

If wheelerburg plays like they did against Westfall, I don't see them losing this game. Russell will keep the runs down to a minimun and the base runners as well. He is probably one the best pitchers that Huntington will face this season. If given a 3-4 run cushion he is hard to beat.

Defensively Burg will field their strongest lineup with Wamsley at SS. If the offense stays hot Burg should win this game.

I know Huntington plays ZT and Adena and they have some pretty good ones as well. Not sure how there top pitcher stacks up against Russell so that was the reason for the "probably" quote. He is a good one!

ZT and Adena have no pitchers the level of Russell or even Farmer for that matter. Both of the SVC teams have other things that get them through.

Best of luck to the Burg boys and all of the seniors that are making this season a memorable one.

So whats's that all about? Evidently he got tossed in the last game???

From the looks of the radar and the fact that it's already raining here in Haverhill, this game will either be played in the rain or rained out and postponed to a later date. Lots of green on the radar heading straight for Athens and vicinity.

I just got a call and the Burg is up 8-2 in the bottom of the 4th and Huntington has already used three different pitchers. They said the boys were hitting the ball really well.

I just got another update and it is 9-3 Burg in the top of the 6th. That was about 25 minutes ago so the game should be close to being over or it may be over by now.

Congrats to the coaches and the players on bringing home the District Championship.

Good luck in the regionals against Gnadenhutten Indian Valley!!!

I saw where they beat Martins Ferry 13-1 to capture the Steubenville District title.

I was agreeing with you. He is by far better than anyone in the SVC.

Reading the box score, it looks like Huntington had one bad inning that cost them. As I said earlier, too bad Magill couldn't go all seven.
