I think Athens will be the team to beat, Alex ,Wellston, and VC will fight it out for second place. Meigs and NY will both have to fight hard to earn some respect this year. NY showed a lot of promise but couldn't play with enough consistancy last year.

Wellston will be a young solid team. They return 2 pitchers from last years District Finals team. The JV team went 10 -8. Some solid young players moving up, and 3-4 freshman who will be pretty good this year.

Wellstons JV team was pretty good last year had a chance to watch them sometimes. but really they have three pitchers that have pitched at the varsity level and they are Grey, Young, and Napper young and napper usually only pitched in double headers or in relief but towards the end of the year i didnt even see the napper boy pitching what happened?

NY lost there ACE (Nick Hunter) to graduation, they do have some young pitchers who can step up. I look for the Buckeyes to play more focused as a team this year. They had a tendicy to let one bad hop ruin an entire inning last year. They only had 2 seniors on last years team so they will be bringing back a lot of Varsity experience.

meigs only lost 3 seniors from last years team and they have a new coach that will have them ready to play. i think they will have a pretty solid team this year.

Good hire, Brent definitely knows the game of baseball. I look for Meigs to be one of the top teams in the Ohio.

The young boy I believe was 5-1 last year as a freshman.

With Athens being the clear favorite to repeat in the Ohio, Who if any will be able to give the Dogs a fight this year?

I'd say either wellston or Alexander but Athens should win the tvc again this year unless the go out and have a bad game will be interesting to see how everything else fills out if athens does slip up and loses a league game.

Yep, Brent was a good athlete when he played at Eastern (Meigs) years ago and I believe he went to Rio to play baseball. He knows the game and this definitely should help revive the Meigs baseball program.
