Marietta.. 010 001 x -- 2

The re-match of yesterday's game was a 1h38m 3 hitter by Brandon Schamp, facing 27 batters. Marietta took the lead by opening the 2nd with 2 hits and then scoring on a WP after 2 were out. Zach Deskins scored the early run after singling, and got the two out RBI hit to score the insurance run.

Schamp's biggest test, in the 6th, was caused by himself, issuing a lead-off walk to the #9 hitter, and then making a bad throw to 1B on a bunt. Then another bunt moved the runners to scoring position with one out bringing up the #3 hitter who had smashed a single and double in his first two ABs, He pitched around him, nothing in the strike zone trying to get him to go for one. After 3 pitches, two in the dirt stopped nicely by the catcher to prevent scores, he intentionally walked him, not throwing the 4th ball. The strategy was lovely as the #4 hitter, who yesterday pounded two doubles, but who had struck out twice today, struck out again, and then the #5 hitter popped up to end the threat.

Did Wahama and Trimble play a double header last night?
