Too bad the Athens vs Marietta game was not this week sometime instead of Saturday. Like to see the battle for the No. 2 seed take place on the field.

Athens losses:

at Gallia 2-1 (vs Loveday) in the season opener.
at Minford 6-5 in 11 innings
at Vinton 3-0 (vs Abele)
at Central Crossing 7-6
at Central Crossing 9-7

The Bulldogs are (12-5) overall and 8 runs away from being (17-0). Dropped a few tough games on the road, but remain undefeated at home.

Zane Trace beating Unioto just proves how brutal the south is. Not a single team in the 9 team sectional has a losing record. They all have wins/losses against each other already. Just crazy.

NO reason the SE needs to have a 3 DAY window open to enter records another 2 DAYS to allow coaches to vote, then a day and a half to total the votes and release results.
