2021 TVC-Hocking

Can’t believe Opening Day passed and there wasn’t a thread started!

Should be a pretty intense season among the top four. Eastern the favorites, yeah? Southern the best threat to force a split? Waterford typically solid. Trimble pretty young, I hear?

This years hard to predict with last year being a lost season. I expect Eastern, Waterford and Southern all to be pretty good. Fed Hock has more depth than they’ve had in years. 21 kids out this year. We played a pair yesterday with Crooksville. Lost first game 4-2. Only gave up one earned run. Early error cost us. Kids hit the ball well....just a pile of at’em balls lol. Second game the hits continued. 14 hits in 5 innings for a 14-4 mercy. Don’t really know a lot about Trimble. Belpre seems to be down.
It will all come down to pitching with the schedule being the way it is. Who has enough?

Thanks. Wasn’t quite sure where FH really fit in. Knew they were a safe bet to be ahead of South Gallia and probably Belpre.

Eastern I think brought back, by far, the most from 2019. They probably have enough quality arms to at least get a share (if not outright.) The Wickline boy is pretty good for Southern, though.

I like Wickline a lot. He’s probably the best pitcher in the Hocking....with Blanchard from Eastern being a close second. I think it’s wide open at the top. I really don’t see a dominant team.

Played Warren twice...FF twice.... Athens twice... Marietta, I think twice....and Meigs twice..... basically all the larger schools around them

Thanks, i guess it just struck me as odd to see a losing record overall, but win the league. But playing bigger schools around them will do that i guess. Thanks again for the info.
