Ethan Ison from Burg and Vogleslong-Lewis from Minford (on short rest following a near no hit bid earlier this week)

3 days rest off of 90 pitches in no big deal for a high schooler

When was the last time the Burg lost 2 major soc championships in one year? Is the talent pool sinking or is it in coaching ?

Seems to be...doesn't it. It's funny that when Martin left Minford, there was no drop off. Estep leaves Burg and it has not been the same.

All comes down to pitching
Burgs dominance was they always had the best pitcher in SOC and in there state teams they always had the 2 best pitchers.

I agree with that. But pitching is developed.

Pitching is always about ability.

Everybody knows the talent of Vogelsong. He’s the real deal. If burg would have won this, it would have been an upset.

Coach Moore does a fine job.

Wheelersburg just lacks the discipline they use to have.

Pitching is developed talent. Any decent pitcher has the ability to work the strike zone and not give up walks.

Minford also has a sophomore that can hit the strike zone and make teams beat him.

Those kids don't just have the ability, they are developed and work their rear ends off.

That's the difference.

Burg has lost like three games all year and two to the best pitcher in the soc. If that’s considered a team that lacks discipline, then I have no idea what they would do if they had some.

Minford only has one less loss than burg. Burg is being developed just fine. Give burg Vogelsong and tell me he doesn’t beat minford. The kid is talented. Enjoy him. They don’t come often.
